7. Editing content with the internal editor

If you have selected \"Internal editor\" in the Joomla Site-config and you click \"Edit\" in the article view, the internal built-in editor opens : 

 In the application bar you find three buttons:

1. Save changes: Saves the changes you have made.

2. Upload: Uploads all changed content.

3. Close editor: Closes the editor. If there are unsaved changes, a warning dialog appears.

On top of the editor, you see an information-box with the language-flag (if the article is multilanguage), the title of the article and if the article needs upload you will see an up-arrow.

In the editor-ribbon toolbar, there are three sections :

1.section :

This section contains the font-editing options:

In the comboboxes you can select the font and the font-size. Below you can make an text bold, italic, underline, subscript and superscript. With the 3 buttons right of it you can change the color of an text, the background-color of an text, and an eraser with wich you

can remove the applied formats of an text.

2. section :

 

 This section containts the text layout options. With the upper 4 buttons you can indent and outdent text, and insert bullet lists and numbered lists. With the 4 buttons below you can justify the text left, center, right and full.

3. section: 

This section contains the html element options. On the top you find the combobox for css-classes. If you have configured in the Joomla-Site config, the \"Insert css of index.ph to articles\" and downloaded the css-classes, you will find here a list of available css-classes:

Just select an text an click the combobox select an available class and the css-class will be applied to the text.

Below you find the html-element buttons. First button is the \"Insert hyperlink\" button. By clicking this dialog-box appears: 

In \"Url\" textbox insert an hyperlink and in \"Text\" box you can apply an tooltip text. Click \"Ok\" to insert the hyperlink at the actual text-position.

Second button is the \"Insert image\" button. By clicking this dialog-box appears: 

 

 On the top you find the image location text-box. You can insert either an hyperlink to an image or you can insert an local image from you harddrive by clicking the browser-button. Then the image-source looks like this: 

 

You can insert this image-file as it is. When you upload the content, DCM scans for <img> tags containting pathes to local images and uploads them automatically and replaces the href to the location on your Joomla-Site.

 So you don\'t need to upload them via ftp, just insert them as local images. This works also when you are using an external editor. If the image filenames contains spaces, they will be replaced with underscores.

In the lower left side you find the image-preview, when you have choosen an image, the image appears here.

In the lower right side you find the image-layout options. Here you can set:

1. Width and height of the image

2. Horizonatal and vertical scaces.

3. Border around the image.

4. The alignment of the image.

5. An title for the image.

6. An alt popup text.

7. An link which will be opened by clicking the image.

 Third button is the \"Insert table\" button. With this button you can insert an table at the current text-location. By clicking this dialog-box appears: 

 Here you can modify the layout of the table that will be inserted:

1. Rows and column counts.

2. Width and height of the table in % or px.

3. The spacing and the padding of the table.

4. Border width of the table.

5, Title of the table.

6. Header-location

7. Alignment of the table.

Fourth button is the \"Vew css\" button. By clicking this dialog-box appears: 

Here you can see all css-defintions which are applied to the article.

Fifth button is the \"Edit html\" button. By clicking this dialog-box appears: 

Here you can see the html-code of the article you are editing. You can also change here the html-code, if you want to modify it.
